This is not just a dress. This is a little piece of fashion history. She's a maxi dress from the late sixties/early seventies by London brand, Countdown. Modelled by Twiggy and frequented by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Marianne Faithfull, Countdown was a boutique situated amongst Mary's Quant's Bazaar and Top Gear on the King's Road, London, the epicentre of the swinging sixties scene. She's bold but still cute, covered in a floral print set on alternating panels of plain red and red and white stripes. The touch of blue in the print makes it very London in the sixties. Finished with a squiggle trim on the ruffle hem, we imagine her rubbing her little puff sleeved shoulders with the iconic models and musicians of her day. Pair with platform boots as they would have back done then or with trainers for a more modern look.

Maxi length | Short puff sleeves | Scoop neckline | Contrast, tiered panelling design | Squiggly Trim detailing on the hem | Concealed zip back

Great condition - there is a small hole on the back which is unnoticeable
